Elena Forin

Elena Forin (Bassano del Grappa, 1979) is an independent curator, member of LaRete Art Projects, of the international association of contemporary art curators IKT, of RAAN Unipr, and professor of the contemporary art history workshop of Contemporary Communication and Media for Creative Industries at the University of Parma. Her research combines an interest in the most recent artistic developments – installation, video, performance, social, collaborative time based and site-specific practices – and their historical roots in the 1960s and 1970s. 

She has conceived and curated exhibitions, productions, projects and talks in various institutions in Italy and abroad, including the MACRO - Museo d’arte Contemporanea Roma, the Musei Civici di Verona, the Musei Civici di Bassano del Grappa (VI), the Salenbauch Collection in Göppingen (Germany), the Triennale di Milano, the Musei Civici di Modena, the Elgiz Collection in Istanbul (Turkey), the Kunsthalle Osnabrück (Germany), the Łaźnia Center for Contemporary Art, Gdańsk (Poland) and ArtMiami. From 2020 to 2024 she collaborated with ArtVerona, becoming its Deputy Artistic Director in 2024. 

She is a founding member of ACollection, and since 2025 she has chaired the Scientific Committee of the Archivio Piero Fogliati ETS. She is the author of essays, texts and articles.
