Sara Reisman is the Director of Percent for Art at the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs where she oversees the city's permanent public art commissioning program. Prior to Percent for Art, Reisman was Associate Dean of the School of Art at The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art and Curatorial Consultant for Public Art at the Queens Museum of Art.
Can art stimulate a shared sense of belonging to a community and of participation in the audiance it refers to? The conversation is an opportunity to think about a new definition of participatory practices shared by a remarkable number of international artists.
